Sorry need to have a pause on my last topic, since something way more important is happening right now and on, than my “little trip to Beijing” and not quite sure if we know hows it going to end up.
*just wanted to make sure you understand the purpose of this post or the coming few.. and my position during this event. Although I am always physically in the protest but I really am not participating or on any sides. Or should there even be any sides. But I respect the idea of this event. I tried my best to be as most invisible as possible and take the photos that the situations allow me to. .. so this post is purely for sharing what I saw and not about having a say.
to be continued..
Thanks for reading.
Please share!
and hope HK will be settled soon.

Tired of the city? or purely just want something different? why not go to an island..
I took a little trip to a small but amazing island called Tung Ping Chau( should take about 3 hours to walk around this island), apparently only 3 people including 2 policemen living there, ermmm…believe it or not..
Tung Ping Chau is packed with shale and has been around since 65,000,000 years ago, casual, its right at the edge of the North-East boarder line of Hong Kong, very interesting….
blablabla~
in this “Part I”, I am trying to show the general feel of this island.
ps: it takes about 1.5 hours to get there by boat from the city.

Done a little experiment with infrared film,
it really just blew my mind, the black sky and sea, the glowing leaves and grass, basically it’s quite a “holy” effect.
After doing some tests at home just out the window to make sure I know what Im doing with this technique,
I felt like I was a bit more confident then I went for a casual hike up the Peak on a bright day and done some shots.
Although I really like the shots, there are still a lot to learn..
Will definitely be doing more and more infrared photography, just need to save up some cash, since the infrared film is not cheap.
ps: The Peak is the highest mountain in Hong Kong Island, the highest mountain within the whole HK is Tai Mo Shan.

Kennedy Town is near the far west end of Hong Kong Island. A tram locally as “Ding Ding” connects it to the east, and only cost 2.3 Hong Kong dollars per ride.
The Ding Ding has been around serving us, and our past generations for over a century since 1902. (wow). It’s the only public transport in Hong Kong that I never hear people complain about, since you expect it to be slow, probably full of people and very hot in summer because of no air conditioning and it’s (sort of) airy windows, which in fact is a good thing, adding to its traditional aspect, but the price says it all comparing to other public transports.
So, here’s the little journey:) Btw, I am experimenting different brand/ type of films at the moment, hence all the colours/ quality are kinda different at the moment, so bare with me. I will probably write a post about my gears sometime soon. Images below include ( Ektar 100, Kodak Portra 400)
Being on the tram gives us a really different perspective of daily life passing through one of the most busiest road in Hong Kong, while the other option would be taking the bus, but now days all buses in HK have sealed windows, as a photographer, I much prefer having no unnecessary layers between me and the subject/ scene. 🙂 Thanks, have a good day. It’s September and I am in Hong Kong right now, I feel is about time to start a blog?
I want this site to be a photography based blog, since I am just terrible at explaining myself through words/ languages, and photos for me seem to have a language of their own.
So… where to start..
During these few months being in Hong Kong, I have/ still/ continue … capturing as much as possible what goes on everyday around me, where its only a dot on the world map packed with 7.2 millions people not even counting visitors.
Here goes.
I spent an afternoon around Kwun Tong just walking about, I snapped whatever interested me and my lens.
Kwun Tong is across the Victoria Habour, opposite Hong Kong Island in a district called, Kowloon.
Thanks:)
